Sirius Arts Centre in Cobh, County Cork Ireland was invited to be one of 20 international organizations included in the exhibition, ‘20|20, A world of photography’, taking place at the 20th Annual Noorderlicht Festival in Groningen, the Netherlands.
Sirius Arts Centre’s Director, Peggy Sue Amison was invited to present the work of one Irish photographer, unknown outside his or her own country who exemplifies photographic developments in the region. Peggy Sue selected Dublin based photographer, Jean Curran and her work “Neither Here, Nor There” for this important international event. (mehr …)

ACMV is now accepting photographic submissions based under the broad theme „Spectacle“. Selected submissions will be presented in a one-time public projection at the Belfast Crescent Arts Centre during the opening weekend of the International Belfast Photo Festival 2013 in Northern Ireland, taking place this June.

Albania has a bewitching soul that cannot fail to haunt you; it exhales something mysterious, a sort of indescribable magic. The beating streams of a Mediterranean sunlight, the meeting with unlikely landscapes, the smoke from burning wild rubbish dumps rising up into the air, the whirls of dust in towns and the sandstorms along the coasts lend the land a specific atmosphere and a strong personality.
