Werner Amann – Surf Fiction
SURF FICTION is Werner Amann’s unpublished work from 1997. It engages with social reality and image bound-culture in Los Angeles and other urban centers in the U.S. Beyond a mere documentary or created approach, SURF FICTION interlinks photography with collages, typography, video stills, abrupt breaks and double page spreads – switching with each page turn from one plot to another. The work plays with projections of a myth that regenerates itself from day to day, producing an image of Los Angeles and at the same time a visual reflection on modern reality. (mehr …)
Greg Girard & Ian Lambot | City of Darkness: Kowloon Walled City revisited
Greg Girard and Ian Lambot started a Kickstarter campaign to publish a new extended edition of their in 1993 released and sold-out book „City of Darkness: Kowloon Walled City“ including new photographs and many previously unpublished drawings and documents. The city was the most densely populated place on earth before its demolition in 1992. Although already fully financed you can still support the project until April 18th and receive original prints and signed books as a thank-you. The book will be published in summer 2014.

BOOK • FILM • PAINTING
At the end of the project ‚Someone I Know‘ Stuart Pilkington asked if any photographers would be interested in his next project.
Over 100 photographers replied and each of them in turn was invited to take part in ‚Book Film Painting‚.
The photographers are from Australia, Austria, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Lebanon, Loa PDR, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK and USA.
On 1st May 2013 the photographers were asked to submit a photograph inspired by either a book, a film or a painting by 31st July.
On 2nd August 2013 all the images were uploaded onto the website.
