Julia Schiller from Actual Colors May Vary has launched a new bilingual platform for fine art & documentary photography in Berlin called »PiB – Photography in Berlin«.
PiB is a nonprofit project dedicated to presenting and promoting outstanding events in Berlin’s remarkably versatile photographic landscape.
Alongside established photography institutions or private collections, PiB provides a platform for emerging talents by focusing on events taking place in the numerous project spaces and nonprofit organisations, who define Berlin’s unique and vibrant independant art scene through their considerable personal commitment.
The heart of PiB is the curated PiB Guide, which presents selected events in Berlin in a printed form. The Guide is published bi-monthly in an edition of currently 5.000 copies & available in select galleries, project spaces, institutions and bookstores throughout Berlin. All events included in the Guide are also featured on PiB’s website & in our weekly Newsletters, and promoted on PiB’s social network.
PiB’s Berlin Directory comprises a handpicked selection of interesting photography institutions in Berlin, and features exceptional portfolios of talented Berlin based photographers. All of the institutions can also be found on PiB’s Berlin Art Map.

Julia von Actual Colors May Vary hat eine neue zweisprachige Plattform für künstlerische & dokumentarische Fotografie in Berlin namens »FiB – Fotografie in Berlin« gegründet.
FiB ist ein nonprofit Projekt und widmet sich der Vorstellung ausgesuchter Veranstaltungen aus Berlin’s überaus vielfältiger fotografischer Landschaft.
Neben Events bekannter Institutionen oder privater Sammlungen bietet FiB eine Plattform für neue Talente und präsentiert daher auch Veranstaltungen der zahlreichen Projekträume und gemeinnützigen Einrichtungen, die oft mit großem persönlichen Engagement die lebendige Kunstszene Berlins prägen.
Das Herzstück von FiB ist der kuratierte PiB Guide, welcher ausgewählte Veranstaltungen in Berlin in gedrucker Form vorstellt. Der Guide wird zweimonatlich publiziert (aktuell in einer Auflage von 3.000 Exemplaren) & ist in ausgewählten Galerien, Projekträumen, Institutionen und Buchhandlungen in Berlin erhältlich. Alle Veranstaltungen aus dem Guide werden außerdem auf FiB’s Website, im wöchentlichen Newsletter sowie auf FiB’s sozialem Netzwerk vorgestellt.
FiB’s Berlinverzeichnis umfasst eine wachsende, aber handverlesene Auswahl interessanter Fotografie-Institutionen in Berlin, und präsentiert Portfolios talentierter Fotografen aus Berlin. Alle präsentierten Institutionen werden zudem dauerhaft auf FiB’s Berlin Art Map eingetragen.
