Druck Berlin is a festival orientated around silk screen print. It is the perfect opportunity to gain insight into an assortment of silk screen print methods from the best printers globally. It aims to provide a comprehensive look into everything silk screen print focused. With lots of live print action, an eclectic exhibition, fully stocked print shop, individual collections by different artists and plenty of creative interactive activities.
The festival is held at Stattbad, in Berlin, a swimming pool complex originally designed in the 60’s. Now running as a center for contemporary art, music and culture, it’s the perfect space for this festival. Most importantly, it’s large and water-proof!
Press Release: This year, the international screen printing community will gather in Berlin to celebrate the art of printing! The audience can expect a lot: focusing on the process, artists will print live and show how the artwork actual comes to life. We are delighted to announce, that among others, the artist group Zwoelf, the australian artist Jessica Eisenhauer and the ‘Futurehead’ Ross Millard will join.
The Druck Berlin Festival also aims to provide insights into methods and approaches of screen printing – in exceptional workshops, we offer both introduction level and advanced level topics. We invited most prolific printers and artists to facilitate there knowledge and skills – among many others, the japanese artist Chika Ito and the british artist Dolly Demoratti will be joining! In addition, we are excited to announce, that we will also offer free workshops for kids on each Sunday from 12.00-19.00!
One of the goals of the festival is to introduce the aesthetics, meanings and processes of screen printing to a larger public. In the stunning main exhibition ‘The Masters of Screen Printing’ we introduce the visitor to well known names like FAILE, Banksy and Jajbo and present a rare collection of screen printing art. In different solo shows, we will put the focus on selected artists and their respective portfolio. Thrilling artists like Doppeldenk or Laura Piantoni will offer insights into their work.
Need a quick coffee break in between all those highlights? Then just enjoy the specialties of the Stattbad Café. And if you’d like to carry something home with you, we also have a print- and a gift shop – fully packed with a sheer endless selection of remarkable prints!

Pressemitteilung: In Berlin kommt dieses Jahr die internationale Siebdruck-Community zusammen, um den Druck zu feiern! Dem Publikum wird hier alles geboten – in Live Printings wird der eigentliche Prozess gezeigt – wie entsteht das Kunstwerk? Wo kommt diese einzigartige Ästhetik her? Freuen kann man sich hier unter anderem auf die Künstlergruppe Zwoelf, die australische Künstlerin Jessica Eisenhauer und den Futurehead Ross Millard.
Das Druck Berlin Festival gewährt aber auch Einblicke in Ansätze und Arbeitsweisen – in außergewöhnlichen Workshops für Erwachsene kann man erste Erfahrungen mit der Technik sammeln, oder seine Kenntnisse vertiefen und neue, spezielle Methoden erlernen. Gehalten werden diese Workshops von erfahrenen Druckern und Künstlern – zum Beispiel von der japanischen Künstlerin Chika Ito und der englischen Künstlerin Dolly Demoratti.
Für Kinder gibt’s das Ganze auch kostenlos an allen Sonntagen von 12 bis 19 Uhr.
Erklärtes Ziel des Festivals ist es, die Ästhetik des Siebdrucks, seine Bedeutung und den Prozess einer breiten Öffentlichkeit zu vermitteln. In einer beeindruckenden Hauptausstellung mit bekannten Namen wie FAILE, Banksy und Jajbo wird es eine einzigartige Zusammenstellung von Siebdrucken zu sehen geben. In verschiedenen Solo-Shows wird der Fokus auf die Arbeiten von ausgewählten Künstlern gelenkt – hier werden zum Beispiel Doppeldenk oder Laura Piantoni einen Einblick in ihre Arbeit gewähren. Auf faszinierende Art lässt sich der Siebdruck bei den Installationen und Performances von Lukas Julius Keijser erleben.
Für die Auszeit zwischen den vielen Höhepunkten bietet sich natürlich das hauseigene Stattbad Café an! Wer gerne was zum Mitnehmen hat – natürlich haben wir einen Print- und einen Giftshop – hier kann man aus einer fast unerschöpflichen Auswahl an bemerkenswerten Drucken auswählen.
