One of the most influential photographic artists of the 21th century. Born in America, Roger Ballen relocated to Johannesburg, South Africa in the 1970’s. His artistic development has progressed from documentary image making, to the creation of highly complex compositions which explore a deeper side of his own psyche.
Initially exhibited during the Belfast Photography Festival in June 2013, Sirius Arts Centre’s Director Peggy Sue Amison has curated an expanded edition of ‚Edge of the Real‚ specifically for this event.
