For the first time, the European Month of Photography Berlin is offering a portfolio review. It will take place in the Berlinische Galerie at the conclusion of the festival on 24 and 25 November 2012.
Here, photographers can present their photographic works to twenty well-known experts in the photo scene including photographers, curators, art directors, journalists, and gallery owners in fifteen-minute, individual conversations. Afterwards, the experts will go along the large table during a one-hour ‘walk’ and discuss the works displayed by all of the participants.
Three cash prizes will be awarded for the best works. The first prize will also be given an exhibition in the rooms of the project space pavlov’s dog – raum für fotografie, one of the festival’s partner institutions. The decisions will be made by a jury based on the assessments of the reviewers.
The participation fee is 50.00 € and has to be paid in cash on the day of the portfolio review in the Berlinische Galerie.
