Paper and Glass (2008-2011) is a collection of images made up of re-photographed photographs, from ephemeral newspaper pages to treasured family snaps.
By intervening at the surface of each original image in-frame, meanings become redirected into fragmentary, ambiguous and puzzle like interplays of perception and context.
A glass trinket becomes a projector of coloured shadows, a newspaper page becomes divergent subject matter and fruit peel breaks the surface of one image to reveal another. Bringing to the foreground the assimilation of a past and present tense experience.
